A Few Words About Me...
The Journey.2.png

Me circa 1982 - little did I know the journey that lay ahead :)

I am an Irish Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist practising in Wicklow.

I was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa and moved to Ireland in 2004.

I hold an M.A. in Child & Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy, securing a 1st Class Honours.  I also hold a B.A. Honours Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and qualified with a distinction in the BA Ordinary Level Degree Programme from the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP, Dublin).

During my Masters in Child and Adolescent Counselling I completed my Thesis that was entitled : Are they “Invisible Children” in an “Invisibly Violent System”? – A Qualitative Exploration of Service Providers’ Experiences working with Children Seeking International Protection in Ireland,  I received a distinction.  A copy of my paper and findings can be found in the blog section.

I work, in person, as an Affiliate Therapist from RISE Counselling in Kilcoole, Wicklow three days a week.

I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and I am a member of the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health in the UK. I am bound by IACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I am also committed to continuous professional development and attend workshops and seminars regularly to ensure I am as up to date as possible with issues that my clients might be struggling with.
