Back in 2021 I had the honour of interviewing some truly incredible Service Providers in the mental health sector. I knew this was an important topic before I carried out the interviews and by the end I had promised all of the participants that I would do my very best to try to see this research through to publication, as it was clear to me just how much the stories that were shared and the work that is done, meant to each of them.
This month I got to come good on that promise as my research was published in the Irish Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Not only does this mark a little milestone in my academic career that I'm proud of, but it most importantly ensures that the Service Providers who do this amazing work and the children they work with, have their voices heard. It is my humble and sincere hope that this piece of research forms a foundation for conversations to be had and adds to the limited research that is currently out there in Ireland on this really important topic.
